Impressionism at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens

  • 2 albums
  • FOCUS Cummer hosted "A Spring Garden Party (Garden Hats De Rigueur)" on Thursday, April 26th at the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens. The Annual meeting/party began with the election of new officers which was followed by a lecture on Impressionism from Mrs Debra Murphy PhD. A tour of the museum's collections was provided by the Cummer staff which led to an elegant dinner party. Also a gift of $16,000 dollars was given to the museum by a charitable patron. But fate reared it's ugly head when a sudden gust of wind blew the check into the adjoining wading pool. Undaunted, the museum's curator braved the cold water for her prize.
